Lawrence Memorial Hospital recently hired Denise Martinek as the hospital’s director of maternal child nursing.

As director, Martinek provides leadership and clinical guidance to nursing personnel in collaboration with the medical staff, clinical nurse specialists and others in operating the Maternal Child Unit.

Martinek comes to LMH with 12 years of experience working in the health care field. She most recently worked as project coordinator/director of clinical practice, NewLife Center and pediatrics at St. Francis Health Center in Topeka. Martinek received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1996 from Saint Louis University. She received her Master of Science in Nursing in 2004 from the University of Phoenix.
