Housing praise

To the editor:

We note that the Lawrence Housing Authority has purchased the Clinton Place Apartments. This can only be a good thing for the city and the tenants who will benefit from the new management, if our experience is duplicated for the new facility.

Our family has only good things to say about this governmental agency and how it carries out its duties. We have had several years of experience working with the staff at Babcock Place on behalf of a family member. We have found every staff person there to be consistently professional and very competent in all our necessary interactions. The public areas are kept immaculate and all maintenance promptly completed, which is greatly appreciated. Social activities are fun and well-planned. The staff goes the extra mile by seeing each client individually, and thus treats each one with great sensitivity and kindness while at the same time being fair to the greater good of the community.

In this season where it is appropriate to acknowledge good service, we publicly thank LHA for their work on behalf of the population they serve and specifically thank the Babcock staff for their goodness to our family.
