To the editor:
I am quite certain that you know that Kansas has six state universities, but one would form a different impression from your editorial of Dec. 16. Why refer to “all of the state’s universities” but mention only the three largest? There are obvious differences in size and mission among the six institutions, but your comments about each school having particular strengths also apply to Emporia, Fort Hays and Pittsburg State universities. If you do not know what their strengths are, you should make an effort to find out.
