A Lawrence man faces at least 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to taking part in a cocaine-dealing conspiracy.

Carl Ray Roubison, 48, pleaded guilty last week in U.S. District Court in Kansas City, Kan., to one count of conspiracy to distribute more than 50 grams of crack cocaine.

He will be sentenced March 12 before U.S. District Judge Carlos Murguia.

Roubison admitted being part of a conspiracy with co-defendants Don Marcus Gibler, Aharlock Fixico, Branden Scott Walker, Ryan Ezell Fowler, Lonnie Ray Teichmann, John Burke Holt, Ryan Lavel Green, James William Beltch and Katheryn Alexander, according to U.S. Attorney Eric Melgren.

Roubison admitted that he drove Gibler to Kansas City to buy crack cocaine; let others use his rural Douglas County home for making crack cocaine; and sold $100 worth of crack cocaine to an undercover agent in April 2004 in the parking lot of a convenience store.

Beltch and Green both have entered pleas in the case and are set for sentencing early next year. Teichmann has a plea hearing set for Jan. 22.

The rest are awaiting trial.
