Black-Eyed Susan’s, The Casbah closing
This holiday shopping season will be the last for two shops in downtown Lawrence.
The Casbah, an eclectic boutique offering jewelry, clothes and accessories at 803 Mass., started its going-out-of-business sale this week.
In her application for a sale permit, filed at City Hall, shop owner Terri Faunce disclosed that the sale would involve more than $54,000 of merchandise – including T-shirts, purses, rings, cigarette cases, crochet shoes, vintage dresses and kimonos.
The Casbah’s permit expires Jan. 18.
Also closing is Black-Eyed Susan’s, an antiques and gifts shop at 820 Mass., a business that opened in October 2002. The shop also is selling its expansive inventory, which lists everything from cookie jars to music boxes, jewelry and a walnut Victorian wardrobe.
