Big Brothers Big Sisters of Douglas County wants to give “Bigs” for Christmas this year.
There are 217 children on the waiting list, and the agency’s goal is to match a child each day until Christmas. Children waiting to be matched include Alex, 10, Chase, 6, Malcolm, 6, Trey, 8, Jeremy, 7, Drew, 9, Logan, 11, Alec, 6, and Jevon, 6. Please help us make this a special holiday for each of them.
Cammy Challender, case manager at the agency, said these children are anxiously waiting for a caring volunteer to spend time with them, doing things they both enjoy.
“Help us make this Christmas extra special for one of these children, or one of the many others waiting for a new friend,” she said.
