Lawrence resident on state emergency board
A Lawrence resident is one of four people recently reappointed by Gov. Kathleen Sebelius to the Kansas Commission on Emergency Planning and Response.
The appointees are Karen Schuyler, Lawrence; James Heitschmidt, Hutchinson; Lyle Noordhoek, Hays; and Ken Schremmer, Hoisington.
The commission facilitates a coordinated effort dealing with mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery from emergencies and disasters.
