Vandals strike at both Baskin-Robbins stores
Both Lawrence Baskin-Robbins ice cream shops have been vandalized.
At Baskin-Robbins, 1524 W. 23rd St., someone broke a glass door, then stole a cash register and $850 cash between 10:30 p.m. Dec. 7 and 9:45 a.m. Dec. 8.
A nearly identical burglary happened across town almost a week later, when someone broke in late Tuesday or early Wednesday at the Baskin-Robbins at 721 Wakarusa Drive. In that case, the burglar damaged a cash register and stole $800 cash and a Dell computer, according to a police report.
Not far from the Baskin-Robbins on 23rd Street, another business, Border Bandido, 1528 W. 23rd St., had a glass door broken and a cash register damaged late Friday or early Saturday. Nothing was listed as stolen, but it caused $1,700 in damage.
