To the editor:

This letter to the editor is actually to the person(s) who stole the Christmas lawn ornaments from 3920 Monterey Court during the night on Dec. 11. You may have taken three lighted deer, but you cannot take away the spirit of Christmas.

Every year, our family purchases another lighted lawn ornament to display during the Christmas season. This year, each one of my girls finally had a deer lawn ornament that they could say was their ornament. This act of thievery was like stealing from children. Now, I have to explain to my three young girls that someone wanted our lighted deer so much that they took them without our permission.

Because of this theft, we are going to remove the other ornaments from our yard. At this point in time, I cannot replace the ornaments. But, I would appreciate the return of the ornaments in the same manner that they were taken. Just put the lighted deer ornaments back in our yard. Although I would like to have the ornaments returned, I realize that the person(s) who took the ornaments probably will not read this and/or return the ornaments.
