Hospice CEO named to national board

Judith Bellome, chief executive officer for Douglas County Visiting Nurses and Hospice Care, has been appointed to serve as a member of the Board of Directors for the National Association for Home Care and Hospice.

Bellome, whose term runs through 2007, represents all home health and hospice members in Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and Nebraska.

Bellome attended an orientation session last week in Washington, D.C.

Bellome earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Education degree from the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, and a Master of Science from Iona College in New York. She has been CEO of the Douglas County Visiting Nurses and Hospice Care since Aug. 1, 2005.
