Olathe ? Free State’s Julian Spangler and Blaine Juhl and Lawrence High’s Skyler Criswell qualified for state Saturday at the Olathe swimming and diving invitational.

Spangler made state in the 100 breaststroke, finishing sixth in 1 minute, 7.08 seconds.

Criswell and Juhl qualified in diving. Criswell placed seventh with 305.4 points, and Juhl was ninth with 301 points.

Free State placed ninth and Lawrence High 14th in the Olathe team standings.

Next action for the Lions is Monday at Shawnee Mission East. Both city teams will compete Thursday at Free State in a five-team meet.
