Chamber to welcome new board members
The Lawrence Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors will have nine new members for 2007.
The new board members, set to begin their terms Jan. 1:
¢ Gary Bennett, general manager of Laird Noller Automotive Inc. in Lawrence.
¢ Derek Felch, chairman of the Lawrence Convention & Visitors Bureau.
¢ Bobbie Flory, executive director of the Lawrence Home Builders Association.
¢ Matt Hoy, an attorney with Stevens & Brand.
¢ Dan Hughes, an owner of Sunflower Outdoor and Bike Shop.
¢ Barry Landon, manager for Schlumberger in Lawrence.
¢ David Livingood, an architect with GLPM Architects, Inc.
¢ Larissa Long, external affairs manager for Aquila in Lawrence.
¢ Kathy Pryor, associate director for the Department of Theatre & Film at Kansas University.
The new board members replace outgoing eight board members.
The board’s executive officers for 2007 are Joan Golden, chairman; Pat Flavin, immediate past chairman; Jim Otten, chairman-elect; and Bonnie Lowe, treasurer.
