Home games against California and Xavier and road contests at Wisconsin and Indiana highlight the 29-game Kansas University women's basketball schedule announced Wednesday.
In all, 17 of KU's 29 games will be against teams that participated in postseason play last season.
The Jayhawks, who reached the second round of the Women's National Invitation Tournament last season, will open the regular season Nov. 11 against Seton Hall in the first round of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association/Metro Sports Classic at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo. KU will meet either Iowa or Missouri State in its second game of the WBCA Classic the next day.
Also, KU will hold its annual welcome-back picnic at noon Saturday at Centennial Park.
Fans are invited to meet the team. There will be free games, food and prizes.
