Sally Pokorny, an attorney and of-counsel in the Law Offices of David J. Brown, Lawrence, recently joined the Access to Justice Committee of the Kansas Bar Assn.

Pokorny, who is president of the Kansas Bar Foundation, was appointed to a one-year term on the committee, whose 18 members focus on issues related to providing equal access to courts for all people. Lawrence attorney Katherine Kirk is the committee’s chairwoman.

Pokorny focuses her practice on the areas of family law, nontraditional family law, criminal law and DUI defense.
