Dole Institute names fellows for fall semester
Former U.S. Senate staffers Scott Richardson and Ed Quick will be fellows at Kansas University’s Dole Institute of Politics for the fall term.
Richardson, a Republican, was press aide to former U.S. Sen. Robert Dole, R-Kan., for six years. Richardson is a partner in Amalgam Productions, which develops short-form programming and media relationships for n8 Studios.
Quick, a Democrat, has held senior staff positions on Capitol Hill for about 25 years, including serving as administrative assistant to U.S. Sen. Thomas Eagleton, D-Mo.
Quick’s study group will focus on “The Culture of Congress,” examining the different influences – interest groups, issues, constituencies and elected and appointed officials – that affect Capitol Hill. His group will meet at the Dole Institute on Wednesdays from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Richardson’s group will focus on “Bob Dole, The Senate Years.” It will meet Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. All study groups are free and open to the public.
