Today is the first day of school for Lawrence students in first through sixth grades, and seventh graders and 10th graders will attend for half a day.

Because it is Wednesday, elementary schools will release students 90 minutes early for collaboration time.

The regular schedule begins Thursday for students in first grade through 12th grade. Half of the district’s kindergartners will attend classes Thursday, and the other half will attend Friday.
