Headquarters Counseling Center in Lawrence seeks volunteers for its fall training program.

Headquarters now operates with about 30 to 40 volunteers compared with the 80 volunteers it had from 1969 to the mid-1990s, said volunteer coordinator Tami Clark.

Informational meetings will be offered at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Community Mercantile, 901 Iowa, and 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt.
