Offices start semester with extended hours

Several Kansas University offices will be open for extended hours Monday through Thursday for the start of the new semester.

The following offices will be staffed from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., rather than the typical schedule of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.:

¢ Academic Achievement and Access Center, 22 Strong Hall

¢ Campus phone operators, 864-2700 (automated directory assistance available 24 hours a day)

¢ College of Liberal Arts and Sciences' Student Academic Services, 109 Strong Hall, 864-3500

¢ Computing Help Desk, 864-0200 (7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.)

¢ Department of Student Housing, Suite DSH in Corbin Hall

¢ Freshman-Sophomore Advising Center, 126 Strong Hall

¢ New Student Orientation, 213 Strong Hall

¢ Office of Admissions and Scholarships, KU Visitor Center

¢ Office of Multicultural Affairs, 145 Strong Hall

¢ Office of Student Financial Aid, 50 Strong Hall

¢ Office of the University Registrar, 121 Strong Hall

¢ Office of the Vice Provost for Student Success, 133 and 113 Strong Hall, 864-4060

¢ Parking and Transit, Allen Fieldhouse Parking Garage

¢ Student Involvement and Leadership Center, 400 Kansas Union

Thank God! Maybe some of the one-zillion students will be in those offices instead of on the streets of Lawrence. The traffic is unbelieveable.
