Teen charged in death of mother found in freezer

? An 18-year-old was charged Friday in the death of his mother who was shot twice in the head and had her throat slit before her body was stuffed into her freezer, court documents said.

Jeremy Hauck was arrested Wednesday at a Missoula, Mont., motel. Police said he had three guns, ammunition and a knife when he was taken into custody.

Hauck waived his right to fight extradition and was expected to return to Utah soon, officials said.

The body of Laura Hauck, 51, was found in a chest-style freezer Monday in the condominium she shared with her son. Police had been asked to check on the pair, who had not been seen or heard from since Aug. 4.
