Fine competitors
To the editor:
I was saddened to read the obituary of Rod Taylor: good student, good citizen and Lawrence High football All-American. Then we remember Mike Cerne and Ron Hopkins. They, too, were good students, good citizens and Lawrence High football All-Americans. In the last few months we said goodbye to two fine young men: Gale Armbrister and John “Scooter” Stanwix. All they asked for was a chance to compete and they were competitors. Yes, the good often die young.
