Volunteers Rikki Endsley and Jud Kite will teach the group ’50s dance-style moves from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Room D of the United Way building, 2518 Ridge Court.

From 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Aug. 24 at Maceli’s, 1031 N.H., members of The Arc of Douglas County will celebrate a half century of providing services of case management and advocacy to people with developmental disabilities and their families.

The evening will include a ceremony honoring founding members with an upscale dinner and a sock hop. Tickets – $30 for adults and $20 for self advocates – should be purchased at least one week in advance. To buy a ticket, call Barbara Bishop at 749-0121.
