Funeral director receives designation
Kurt Torkelson, of rural Leavenworth, recently received the Certified Funeral Service Practitioner designation from the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice.
Torkelson, managing partner of Belden-Sexton-Sumpter and Barnett-Larkin-Brown Funeral Homes in Leavenworth, completed a 180-hour program of continuing education activities to earn the designation.
