To the editor:

I would like to offer a possible explanation as to why the city cannot turn a profit in regard to Eagle Bend Golf Course. Three times I have been down there to use the driving range and have been told it was closed.

The latest was on a beautiful Friday at 6 p.m. I was told that I could not use the driving range because they were having an open house the next day. Huh?

It seems to me that if a business is open, they should be able to serve the customer. As for me, I will be taking my tokens to another facility in town that will let me use them when they’re open.

I thought it was rather ironic that as I returned to my car, another person was stepping up to the driving range with his bucket of balls.

Who’s running this place?
