Local photographer earns several awards
Robbin Loomas, owner of Sterling Image Photography, won several awards at the four-state Heart of America Professional Photographers Convention in Omaha, Neb.
The Kansas Professional Photographers Assn. presented her with the following awards: first, illustrative category for “County Seat;” second, pet category for “Evening Glory;” and second, commercial category for “Espress Yourself.”
The Lawrence resident also received the Kodak Gallery Award for Photographic Excellence and was named one of the “Top 10 Photographers of Kansas” for 2006. Four of her prints will be sent to the Professional Photographers of America’s International Print Competition in June.
