Meeting to focus on sewer project
Plans to enlarge a sanitary sewage pump station near Sixth and Kentucky streets will be the subject of a public information meeting Wednesday.
Leaders of the city’s Utilities Department will answer questions about the project at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Kaw Wastewater Treatment Plant, 1400 E. Eighth St.
Staff members from Burns & McDonnell Engineers and Garney Construction, which will build the expansion, also will attend.
Work on the pump station, which is north of Sixth and Kentucky streets, is scheduled to begin in June.
