Future of food, farming to be forum’s topic
Ecologist Wes Jackson, president of The Land Institute, will speak at an Earth Day forum today at Plymouth Congregational Church, 925 Vt.
The future of food, farming and the prairie will be the topic of the forum, which starts at 7 p.m.
The Land Institute is based in Salina and is dedicated to developing an ecologically stable system of agriculture.
Other speakers include Sen. Marci Francisco, D-Lawrence, and Kelly Kindscher, conservation biologist with the Kansas Biological Survey.
The event is free and open to the public.
