Lawrencian named foundation director

A Lawrence resident is the new executive director for KSHS Inc., a private, not-for-profit foundation that provides financing for the Kansas State Historical Society in Topeka.

Vicky Henley assumed the post this week, leading the 3,000-member organization and its 102-member board of directors.

Henley has 18 years of experience in fundraising and marketing. She most recently had been associate director for gift planning at the Kansas University Endowment Association. She previously served as director of the Kansas Film Commission.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration at KU.

The foundation operates the historical society’s museum store and its branches at the Kansas State Capitol and various state historic sites.
