Prairie Capital plans merger with Emprise
Prairie Capital Inc. and Emprise Financial Corp. have agreed to merge.
Prairie Capital is the parent company of Prairie State Bank, and Emprise Financial is the parent company of Emprise Bank. After the transaction is completed, the 11 locations of Prairie State Bank will join Emprise Bank’s 29 locations.
Terms of the agreement call for an aggregate cash payment of $25.9 million. The merger is subject to approval by banking regulators and the shareholders of Prairie Capital. Closing is anticipated in the third quarter of this year.
Emprise Bank has two locations in Lawrence.
