Police thanks
To the editor:
Members of the Lawrence Police Department provide a vitally important, but sometimes thankless, role in the daily lives of Lawrence citizens, and I was thus very pleased to read the thoughtful article, “Walking in police officers’ shoes,” in the April 12 River City Pulse. I urge individual Lawrence residents to express their gratitude during the next several weeks by approaching an LPD officer and thanking them in person for their service and their willingness to protect the Lawrence community.
