The Lawrence Visitor Information Center will open its doors and feature special events Saturday to celebrate the center’s 10th anniversary at the Union Pacific Depot in North Lawrence.

An open house is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the center, 402 N. Second St. Activities will begin with a garden tour at 10 a.m. and will continue with activities for children and refreshments.

Mayor Mike Amyx will address visitors at 11 a.m., and another garden tour at 1:30 p.m. There also will be sessions with area artists, and presentations reviewing the depot’s history and renovations.
