Mumps cases increase
State and area health officials reported eight additional mumps cases in Douglas County on Thursday, which brought the county’s total to 50 cases this year.
The news came as the Kansas Department of Health and Environment reported the state’s total had increased to 67 from 48 from earlier this week.
