Help wanted

To the editor:

If the Democratic Party ran an ad in the “Help Wanted” section of a newspaper, it would read something like this:

“Seeking individuals to participate in a national study. Polling has indicated that one out of three Americans approve of the current administration and two out of three do not. The Democratic Party has concentrated its efforts in following these polls and shaping public opinion to effect these polls. We are seeking people from the two-thirds of those polled who disapprove of the current administration to develop ideas for the Democratic Party leaders who are bidding in the upcoming elections. If you are a ‘Bush-basher’ please do not respond, since our in-house experts and consultants are handling that agenda internally. We are only seeking those with solid ideas on how to handle the Iraq war, taxes, immigration, national security and other national and international affairs. This job pays minimum wage, and those who can effectively negotiate with terrorists will be afforded a generous bonus.”
