Basehor ? Free State’s Quinn Klutman placed eighth and teammate Nick Burkart 10th Wednesday at the Shawnee Mission Northwest Invitational at Falcon Lakes Golf Course.

Klutman and Burkart each shot even-par 72. Klutman won a scorecard playoff for the higher placing.

“To have two guys shoot 72 is outstanding,” FSHS coach Matt Gudenkauf said. “We’re happy about that. It was pretty fierce competition. One stroke over par won it.”

Blue Valley West won the team title with 289 strokes. Free State tied Shawnee Missouri South for seventh at 305.

Lawrence High was 17th at 360.
