Gubernatorial aspirants to attend GOP forum

Kansas University's College Republicans student group will be the host for a Republican gubernatorial candidate forum at 7 p.m. April 18 at the Dole Institute of Politics, 2350 Petefish Drive. The event is free and open to the public.

State Sen. Jim Barnett of Emporia, Ken Canfield of Olathe and Robin Jennison of Healy are expected to participate.

Candidates will give an introduction, followed by a question and answer session with pre-selected questions. Candidates will also take audience questions.

How can any insightful, intelligent college student be a Republican? What can they say to explain or defend the muddleheads running the government in Washington?

Let's re-elect Kathleen and feel sorry for young people who are deluded by the party in power.
