Olathe ? After being the only team to beat Olathe East a year ago, the Free State High softball team was able to beat O-East again this year.

The Firebirds lost game one, 10-0, but won the nightcap, 10-6.

“I asked them to come out and compete. I asked them if they wanted to show them what they had or just show them how we were affected by the loss,” FSHS coach Pam Pine said.

Rosie Hull and Brooke Abney had three RBIs each. Hannah Summers also plated two runners.
