Several Free State High athletes signed letters of intent Wednesday. Nick Ayre signed to play football at Baker University, and Mike Vaughn and Chris Coffey signed to play football at Independence Community College.

In baseball, Brett Lisher signed to play baseball at Allen County CC, Lorenzo Ricketts at Butler County CC, Scott Heitshusen at Hutchinson CC and Travis Blakenship at Johnson County CC.
