KU diversity conference to feature poet’s speech
Poet Angela Cervantes will be the featured speaker at the Kansas University Multicultural Resource Center’s third annual Student Diversity Conference from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the Kansas Union.
The event is open to KU students and students from nearby universities.
Registration for the conference, “We Are One Community,” will begin at 8:45 a.m.
Forms are available in the Multicultural Resource Center, Office of Multicultural Affairs and at www.mrc.ku.edu. Cost is $10.
Cervantes, who earned an English degree at KU in 1994, has had her poetry featured in Urban Latino magazine.
