Trashy trend
To the editor:
What is the city code regarding residential trash pickup? In a trash receptacle, tied up in plastic bags, stuffed in boxes, what exactly?
Our city is becoming mighty trashy these days. I am shocked by the trash I see discarded everywhere. It’s not from storms or wind; it’s from folks who do not care enough to properly secure their trash in proper containers before putting it out on trash pickup day. If you believe my statement to be off base, just take a drive up and down some of the streets in the residential neighborhoods after the trash has actually been picked up.
Is there anything that can be done to get this trashy trend turned around?
