Collins runner-up for “Mr. Basketball”

Chicago – Kansas University basketball signee Sherron Collins is runner-up for “Mr. Basketball” in Illinois. Jon Scheyer of Glenbrook North, who is headed to Duke, won the award.

Collins averaged 26 points, seven rebounds and seven assists per game for Crane High. The award annually goes to the state’s top player.
