Help at home

To the editor:

Never mind putting a man on the moon, let’s help eliminate hurricanes that cause disasters. Instead of our rocket scientists being in outer space, let them retrain to stop weather disasters and terminal diseases of THIS world. Why spend precious tax dollars on outer space when we need help on this planet?

In the meantime, the rest of us can conserve gas, pray for the victims, thank God it wasn’t us, give money, food, blood, water, clothing, housing or whatever we can to help them. Our closets, attics and garages probably need some cleaning anyway. The local food pantries, such as LINK and Penn House, need nonperishable foods, too.
