Bottom line

City commissioners will receive a report from the Old West Lawrence Task Force regarding possible rezoning of property in the neighborhood.

Background

The task force has been studying the neighborhood as part of an area planning process. The group has been identifying property that currently isn't properly zoned for the use that it has. In total, 16 pieces of property are proposed for rezoning. Many of them are single family homes that are located on property zoned for duplexes. The neighborhood is seeking the land to be zoned to single family status.
