Woman suspected of stabbing 4 others
Police arrested a Lawrence woman early Thursday on suspicion of cutting four women with a knife during a fight outside Johnny’s Tavern, 410 N. Second St.
A 20-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of making a criminal threat and four counts of aggravated battery.
Sgt. Dan Ward, a Lawrence Police spokesman, said officers were dispatched to the bar at 2:12 a.m. Four Lawrence women – ages 22 to 24 – suffered knife wounds that were not believed to be life-threatening.
Ward said the woman suspected in the stabbing had been involved in a previous altercation outside the bar minutes earlier, had left the scene and returned with a knife.
She had not been formally charged as of Thursday.
