Radio-controlled planes take off at Clinton Lake

Remote control planes have been zipping through the sky this weekend at Clinton Lake.

Blue Sky Squadron will present a radio-controlled air show from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Jayhawk Model Masters Flying Field near Clinton Lake Dam.

The show began Saturday.

Admission is free, and the show will feature aerobatics, said Vernon Nelson. Monoplanes, biplanes and a DC-3 with a 12-foot wingspan will fly this weekend.
