The trial of a man accused of attempted murder after a December shooting at a West Lawrence apartment complex has been delayed to mid-October.

Randy Johnson faces four counts of attempted second-degree murder stemming from the gunplay at the Boardwalk Apartment complex.

A Douglas County District Court judge on Thursday pushed Johnson’s trial back to Oct. 11 while the prosecution works on an expert witness report.

Two people were injured in the Dec. 21 shooting, which tenants said resulted from a dispute over a loud party.
