Third District Congressman Dennis Moore selected Dave Clark and Becky Hubbell, his wife, of Leawood, as Angels in Adoption for 2005.

The couple with five children, including two from India, will receive the award Tuesday in Washington, D.C., at a national ceremony. The Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute will present the award.

“Any program that works to raise the public awareness of the great need to find permanent loving homes for all of the world’s orphaned children is something we’re honored to be a part of,” Clark and Hubbell said in a statement.

The couple are working to reverse a Romanian law that bans out-of-country families from adopting Romanian children.
