DHL to open center in KCK

DHL, the Florida-based express delivery company, announced plans Thursday for a regional sorting center on which it will spend $3 million during the next three years.

The center in Kansas City, Kan., begins operations Sunday and will provide 130 new jobs at the start, the company said. It’s part of a $1.2 billion program announced last year in an effort to bring DHL a bigger share of the express delivery market.
