A 20-year-old Kansas University student opened her door and found a man masturbating outside last Friday night.

The incident happened about 10:30 p.m. at the woman’s home in the northwest part of Lawrence, said Sgt. Dan Ward, a Lawrence Police spokesman.

Ward said the woman heard a knock on her front window and opened the door because she thought it was a neighbor coming to visit. Upon seeing the man, she slammed the door and called police, but officers didn’t find him in the area.

Ward said the man was described as white, in his 30s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, 210 to 220 pounds, with dirty blond, shaggy hair and a plaid short-sleeved shirt.
