A contradiction?
To the editor:
I read with interest articles in recent Journal-World editions that local government bodies were planning to spend money to establish more green space for Lawrence. Also, that there are concerns about the sewer situation in the area of Peterson Road and Kasold Drive.
The city-county planning commission has plans on the table to clear four-plus acres to build more units in Peterson Acres. Many beautiful trees and a walking path will be destroyed, and it will add more strain to the sewer system.
It sounds like a case of one hand not knowing what the other hand is doing.
