Are flags next?
To the editor:
I see that our city fathers have paused momentarily from turning the streets of Lawrence into a maze of roundabouts (at great expense to the taxpayers) to protect us against the danger to the public of car dealers flying balloons on their private property.
How much of a stretch is it to expect them to next tell us that we cannot fly the American flag from our cars? I think that would be an interesting First Amendment case for our new Supreme Court.
