Injury Accidents

¢ A Tonganoxie man was injured Saturday afternoon in a car-motorcycle collision at the U.S. Highway 24/40 junction with Main Street in Tonganoxie.

Patrick M. Morey, 35, was driving his 2003 Honda motorcycle east on U.S. 24/40 when a westbound 2001 Ford Taurus, driven by 17-year-old Booker Fleming, of Tonganoxie, turned left in front of the motorcycle, according to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Morey’s motorcycle then struck the Taurus in the passenger side rear quarter panel.

Morey was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital. A hospital official said he was treated and released. Fleming was not injured, the report said.
